Missouri S3DA Receives Grant from the National Rifle Association

Williamsburg, KY – Missouri S3DA submitted their first grant application to the Friends of the NRA/NRA Foundation in December of 2019. In March 2020, Missouri S3DA received notification that the request had been approved, but as we all can recall, the country went into lockdown due to the COVID pandemic and Missouri S3DA staff was notified that grant would not be distributed until the NRA office reopened. At the end of August (2020), Missouri S3DA received the grant and started the process of purchasing 20 Indoor Target bales.

The COVID pandemic forced Missouri S3DA to conduct a virtual 2021 Indoor Championship in March of this year. However, Missouri S3DA is well positioned to use these bales for the Indoor State Championship in the first quarter of 2022. Additionally, the targets will enable Missouri S3DA to host a possible fundraiser tournament that will be open to all ages.

Missouri S3DA would like to send a HUGE THANK YOU to the Missouri Chapter of Friends of the NRA and the NRA Foundation and Tim Besancenez (FNRA Field Representative). Their investment in Missouri S3DA has positioned the program to put on top-notch Indoor events for the youth and execute opportunities to raise funds that will help grow S3DA across the state of Missouri. As Missouri S3DA President (Faron Teague) always says… “It’s really about the kids.”
