Atlanta, GA, March 31, 2025 – Wilderness Bonds, Media Lodge’s groundbreaking video series showcasing a woman's journey into hunting, is proud to announce USCCA (United States Concealed Carry Association) as the presenting sponsor of Taking Aim, a two-video Wilderness Bonds project designed to educate and equip women for their first hunts.
While USCCA is best known for its focus on personal defense and responsible firearm ownership, its core mission of education and preparedness aligns perfectly with Taking Aim’s goal of helping women gain confidence with firearms in a hunting environment. The videos will follow Christen and Katey as they host a shooting and hunting preparation class for eight women, providing hands-on instruction in rifle handling, optics, ammunition, and essential gear. Participants will include both industry professionals and everyday women eager to step into the hunting world with the right skills and knowledge.
"Wilderness Bonds is about breaking down barriers that keep women from hunting—whether it’s intimidation, lack of access, or uncertainty about where to start," said Katey Powers, Media Lodge Vice President of Sales and show lead. "USCCA’s expertise in firearm safety and education provides an invaluable foundation for new hunters, ensuring they not only feel comfortable handling their rifles but also develop the confidence to carry those skills into the field."
As part of its sponsorship, USCCA will be integrated throughout the Taking Aim project, from product placement to direct involvement in curriculum development. The Taking Aim videos will be distributed across Media Lodge's Partner Sites, GetZone’s and social media channels, with a guaranteed reach of 4,000,000 promotional impressions.
"At the USCCA, our mission has always been to empower responsible gun owners with the knowledge, skills, and support they need to protect what matters most," said Beth Alcazar, Editor-at-Large, USCCA. "While our primary focus is personal defense, the core values of safety, confidence, and competence with firearms naturally extend into the world of hunting. That’s why we’re proud to support Taking Aim—helping more women embrace their strength, build their skills, and feel empowered whether they’re defending themselves, hitting the range, or heading into the field."
