Williamsburg, KY – The 2025 Tennessee S3DA Indoor State Championship, sponsored by Taylor’s Archery and Winton Auction & Realty, was held at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The gymnasium was bustling with spectators, archers, and enthusiastic supporters as over 200 archers from sixteen teams gathered to compete. As is tradition, the Senior Class of 2025 was recognized during the championship. Additionally, four individuals – Aaron Brunner, Corban Hardy, Kaden McGrath, and Easton Terrill – were honored for their outstanding performance throughout the Indoor season of achieving a perfect 150/30X score with the unveiling of the new “30X Club” banner.
The event featured some thrilling competition, including a three-way tie in the Young Adult Open Female division and a two-way tie for Shooter of the Year in the Young Adult Open Male division, leading to exciting shoot-offs. Former S3DA members who have aged out of the program returned to volunteer their time as event staff, highlighting how the S3DA program truly is one big archery family.
Graduating senior Chloe McElroy from Covenant Ranch S3DA shared her thoughts on her last Indoor State Championship: “I started shooting S3DA when I was in the fourth grade and I’m now a senior. Through my time with S3DA, I have met so many great people and made lifelong friendships. I have been able to see so many amazing things that otherwise I might not have seen. This organization has opened doors for me to pursue my dream of shooting collegiate archery; I highly recommend joining a local club!”
First-year competitor Bracken Malone with Mack’s Archery also expressed his excitement: “We practiced A LOT! My favorite thing was going different places and seeing all my friends. I am excited about Indoor Nationals and then moving into 3D season!”
Amy Hubble, Regional Coordinator, reflected on the event: “The 2025 TN Indoor State Championship is always a
favorite for me and my family, and this year did not disappoint. From the amazing food trucks to the number of shooters that showed up, to the awards that were given out, it was amazing. I absolutely LOVED the recognition of the seniors. We have so many in Tennessee this year and it was just a very special, sweet moment for the families. The archers showed up and showed out this year with a large number making it into the 150 Club at state. This is one of my most favorite events of the season!”
