National Bowhunter Education Foundation Creates Collectible Pins for NASP National Participants

RAPID CITY, SD (April 22, 2025) – National Bowhunter Education Foundation (NBEF) supports National Archery in The Schools Program (NASP) in many ways. In addition to providing scoring pencils for state and national events, NBEF has created limited edition NBEF pins for NASP national tournament participants to trade and collect.

“The NBEF pins are a fun way to reward students participating in the NASP national tournament. It’s fun to see the excitement of the students and their families at the national events. The NASP program reaches thousands of youth participants, offering them a solid foundation in archery and a potential pathway to bowhunting,” explained NBEF Executive Director Marilyn Bentz. “Our NASP sponsorship supports NBEF’s commitment to education and bowhunter recruitment.”

NASP’s mission is to promote instruction in international-style target archery as part of in-school curriculum, to improve educational performance and participation in the shooting sports among students in grades 4-12.

NBEF attends the NASP Eastern Nationals and Western Nationals and shares information about NBEF’s safety and success-focused bowhunter ed classes with the thousands of NASP participants, their coaches and families.

“We’re excited to roll out the NASP National Pin Passport to encourage student archers to interact with one another and our partners. After purchasing or trading their pins with our partners, students will be able to virtually check-in at each of the booths using the NASP Portal App. Once a student checks-in at all eight participating booths, they will automatically be added to a daily prize drawing,” shared NASP Program Manager Stephanie Evans. “Special thanks to the National Bowhunter Education Foundation and our other participating partners: The NASP Program, Centershot Archery, Genesis Archery, Rinehart Targets, Morrell Targets, Lancaster Archery and Eason Technical Products. These partners go above and beyond and love interacting with our students.”
