Sparta, Wisconsin – Braden Gellenthien brought home Gold in the Men’s Pro Division for Team Mathews this past weekend at the Gator Cup in Newberry, Florida. Last weekend’s success follows victories in both Paris, Texas and Redding, California. This marks three straight weeks of successful campaigns in the Men’s Pro category for Team Mathews.
US Archery Memberships are at a record level this year and competition at the US Team Qualifying Tournaments like the Gator Cup are fierce.
“The wind was tricky at times, but manageable,” said Mathews Shooter Braden Gellenthien. “I feel really confident in my Mathews TRX 40, and think this the beginning of a great pairing. My pin aims so true that it makes shooting a smooth consistent shot much easier to do!”
In addition to winning Gold, Team Mathews’ Reo Wilde was able to edge out teammate Steve Marsh for Bronze.
The Gator Cup is an outdoor target archery tournament that complies with the World Archery and USA Archery rules. The Gator Cup is a USAT Qualifier Series Event. This means it is part of the series of events co-hosted by USA Archery that help to determine the national team for archery, called the United States Archery Team (USAT).
