Scholastic 3-D Archery (S3DA) Appoints Mark Love as Wisconsin State Coordinator

Williamsburg, KY – Scholastic 3-D Archery (S3DA) is thrilled to announce Mark Love as the new Wisconsin State Coordinator. In this role, Mark will oversee all aspects of the S3DA program in Wisconsin, including certifying instructors, promoting the program to local businesses and schools, and fostering relationships to expand S3DA teams. Additionally, he will work closely with regional coordinators to ensure competition venues are accessible to youth archers across the state. The state is currently divided into four geographical regions with the following Regional Coordinators: Bryan Roth (South Region), Ron Miller (East Region), and Cody Hardinger (West Region). Mark has set a personal goal to bolster the S3DA presence and establish leadership in the North region within the next year.

Mark Love brings a wealth of experience to the position. A devoted husband to his wife, Cheri, for nearly 30 years, and father to two daughters, Michaela (23) and Stephanie (21), Mark has balanced a successful 30-year career as an Environmental Consultant with his passion for archery. Currently employed by Bay Environmental Strategies in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Mark and his family live in De Pere, Wisconsin.

Mark’s archery journey began at age 14 when he took up bowhunting, a passion that has remained with him throughout his life. He became actively involved in coaching when his daughters joined the 4H Shooting Sports program in 2012. Over the years, he has served as an archery instructor for county shooting sports, coached the school’s NASP team since 2014, and played a key role in launching Wisconsin’s first S3DA teams. In 2018, he founded the Hunters Edge Archery team, known as THE HEAT, where he continues to serve as head coach.

Reflecting on his new role, Mark stated, “My interest in becoming a State Coordinator stems from my passion for youth archery and the incredible opportunities S3DA provides. Wisconsin S3DA is full of talented young archers, dedicated volunteers, and supportive families. When the position became available, I saw it as an opportunity to contribute to the program’s ongoing success. Wisconsin S3DA currently has about 23 active teams and over hundreds of youth archers, and we are committed to expanding the program to reach even more young athletes across the state.”

Mark intends to strengthen existing teams and help them grow. He also seeks to increase S3DA’s presence beyond its specific events by engaging with Wisconsin NASP, the Wisconsin Archery Alliance (NFAA and USA Archery affiliate), and the Badger State Games. By setting up informational booths, encouraging archers to participate in a variety of events, and organizing joint competitions, he hopes to inspire greater youth and adult involvement in archery.
