Northside Recreation Center Hosts South Carolina S3DA Indoor Regional

Williamsburg, KY – South Carolina S3DA has launched the 2025 season with significant growth and exciting new developments. The program has expanded its reach by adding several new venues and implementing an electronic scoring system to enhance the experience for archers, spectators, and staff alike.

One of the key new venues is the Northside Recreation Center in Rock Hill, South Carolina, which has welcomed South Carolina S3DA for archery camps, local team practices, clinics, and regional tournaments. Recently, the center hosted an indoor regional tournament that had participation from archers representing eight S3DA teams.

Cherokee Charter Academy Coach Amanda Douglas expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “With help from the South Carolina State Coordinator, Sheila Tadlock, and other local coaches, we are excited to launch our new S3DA archery team this year! Several of our archers are new to the sport of archery. It was inspiring to see the enthusiasm and determination of not only the new archers but the seasoned ones as well. As a new coach to the CCA Patriots archery team, I am excited to lead this talented group of athletes. Our team is made up of a variety of ages and skill levels, and each member is working hard to develop their abilities and achieve success. We look forward to seeing their dedication pay off as the season progresses!”

Coach Martina Zinn of Sherwood Forest Archery also shared her excitement, saying, “I am very excited to start coaching an S3DA team. I am an archer and a teacher, so joining the S3DA program as a coach has allowed me to combine my passion for both. I enjoyed this tournament as a spectator, but from a coaching perspective, I am now able to see the energy and dedication that goes into each tournament to ensure each child’s needs are met. This opportunity has given me a whole new appreciation for the sport and the S3DA program.”

The South Carolina S3DA program continues to grow, providing young archers with opportunities to develop their skills and compete in a supportive and dynamic environment. With the addition of new venues and the implementation of electronic scoring, the 2025 season promises to be an exciting and successful one.
