West Henrietta, NY – Incredible shooting performances across all archery disciplines contributed to an exciting World Indoor Championship Trials over the weekend at the Easton Newberry Sports Complex, where Elite Archery's Kris Schaff and Curtis Broadnax secured their positions on Team USA for the upcoming Indoor World Championships.
Representing Elite Archery with his Victory 37, Curtis Broadnax impressed throughout the weekend, with a performance highlight on Sunday with a 150 round to place second in the trials and earn his position on the Junior Men's Compound US Team.
"This past weekend was a success for me and my equipment played a huge role in that - my Victory 37 shot better than I did and that's what I want out of a bow." Broadnax said. "I am looking forward to representing the United States and Elite Archery at the Indoor World Championships."
In a tight, often tied compound senior men's bracket, Kris Schaff, shooting his new Echelon 39, battled against Jesse Broadwater and Tate Morgan for a spot on the podium, where he earned a third place seat on the Senior Men's compound US Team.
"I'm really happy with the way this weekend went," Schaff said. "My equipment performed flawlessly and I'm excited to be a part of the 2018 Indoor World Championship Team. I can't thank Elite enough for backing me on this adventure!
"The indoor archery game has evolved into an entirely new level of competition," said Darrin Christenberry, Elite Archery pro staff manager. "The Elite Archery family is thrilled for Kris and Curtis and we're confident we'll see great things from them in Yanton."
The Indoor World Championships are slated to take place February 14-19 in Yankton, South Dakota at the NFAA Easton Yantkon Archery Complex. Over 500 athletes and coaches will compete in the newly expanded and renovated facilities.
