Field & Stream named the Bowtech Reign the "Best of the Test" in its August issue. The Reign outscored flagship bows from nine other best-selling brands. The editors of the magazine called the Reign "a near flawless package that's smoother shooting than last year's (Bowtech) BTX" and noted that the bow posted near-perfect scores in almost every category evaluated.
Outdoor Life editors evaluated 15 of the industry's top bows, and the Reign again came out on top, scoring a 93.8 on a 100-point scale. The editors' said, "the Reign 6 was one of the bows no one wanted to put down" and "it almost seemed to find the 10 ring on its own."
ScoutLook, a popular digital application for hunters, also tested the flagship bows from every major manufacturer, and the results were the same. Bowtech earned the Editor's Choice award, beating out the competition as the most impressive new bow of the year.
