The Position

Vista Outdoor is seeking a Sales Representative - National Accounts Manager to add to our team to support the SW Ohio area from a home/remote office. This position is responsible for the sale, program management and support of company products and/or services to assigned accounts.

Responsibilities

• Make and develop contacts with existing and potential customers.

• Manage and support internal and external relationships by providing information on: rebates, merchandising, special mark-ups, inventory, purchase orders, forecasting, analytics and allocations, etc.

• Analyze existing and anticipated customer requirements and promote company products and services to fill such requirements. Participate in the preparation of sales plans and campaigns, business plans, and product development plans.

• Manage company processes with cross-functional teams, such as: Demand Planners, Buyers, Trade Marketing, and Allocations department.

• Conduct sales presentations.

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate sales records.

• Maintain technical proficiency and consult with prospective customers regarding use of company products and services.

• Quote prices and delivery dates. Demonstrate and provide instruction on the use of products.

• Keep informed of new products and other information of interest to customers. Investigate new applications or improvements to products.

• Provide marketing intelligence to sales management and may participate in the development of sales forecasts and strategies.

• Increase sales and profitability

• Perform research on competitive products in the market.

• Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule format.

• Respond to common inquiries or customer concerns.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of sales (retail or category) or account management experience with B.A./B.S. or related experience

• Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time (air travel is required)

Desired Qualifications

• Sporting, ammunition, firearms, shooting or related accessories knowledge

• Attention to detail needed for: rebates, merchandising, special mark-ups, inventory, purchase orders, forecasting, analytics and allocations, etc.

• Organizations skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Strong computer skills: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
