Whitetails Unlimited Grants More Than $220,000 in Illinois

Whitetails Unlimited has granted $222,792 to various mission-related projects in the state of Illinois over the past fiscal year. More than 50 different organizations received grants pertaining to outdoor education, habitat enhancement, and hunting and shooting sports preservation. This was done in large part with the help of Whitetails Unlimited’s 33 Illinois chapters.

The majority of the funds were spent through WTU’s Preserving the Hunting Tradition program which includes veteran and youth mentored hunts. The bulk of these hunts are conducted by WTU volunteers who have spent countless hours of their free time ensuring the hunting tradition is not lost. Another large portion of these funds were granted to several shooting sport groups throughout the state including NASP, 4-H Shooting Sports, and clay target teams.
