Team Ruger Kicks-Off the 2026 Season
Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (NYSE: RGR): Team Ruger has delivered an impressive start to the year, earning top finishes across a variety of competitive events. The team continues to demonstrate the performance, reliability and precision that Ruger firearms are built to deliver.
In Hunlock Creek, PA, Team Ruger's David Olhasso led the team with a first place finish in the FSI division at the Arctic Blast Match with a final time of 150.11 while competing with his RXMĀ® pistol in 9mm Luger, showcasing the pistol's accuracy, durability and reliable performance under pressure. In Florida, Olhasso also competed in the FL State IDPA Championship alongside several teammates. He secured first place in the SSP division, again using his dependable RXM.
Building on that performance, Team Ruger's James McGinty secured second place at the Arctic Blast Match in the FSO division and earned an impressive second overall with his RXM pistol. At the FL State IDPA Championship, he took first place out of twenty-four competitors in the CCP division with a final time of 210.59.
Team Captain Doug Koenig, as well as team members Annie Berger and Steve Foster, demonstrated strong technical execution and adaptability during Steel Challenges. At the Georgia State Steel Challenge, Foster achieved multiple podium finishes and secured first place in the Rimfire Master and Top Rimfire divisions. Meanwhile, Berger traveled to Florida for the US Steel Nationals and captured First Lady in the Rimfire Pistol Iron Sight division with her Mark IVā¢Target pistol in 22 LR. Koenig navigated complex stages with discipline and control while running an SR1911Ā® pistol at the US Steel Nationals, where he finished third overall.
At the Woodsviking NRL Hunter Challenge in Tennessee, Aaron Martin and Lauryl Akenhead both delivered standout performances against a fast-paced, competitive field. This was Akenhead's first NRL Hunter Match with her Ruger AmericanĀ® Rifle Gen II in 6.5 Creedmoor, earning High Lady in the Open Heavy division. Following up, Martin competed in the Teams division and secured a strong third-place finish with a final score of 249.
Lastly, Randi Rogers and Gordon Carrell competed at the Texas State IDPA with their RXM pistols featuring 4.5-inch barrels. Rogers placed third in the ladies' Carry Optics division with a score of 365.5. Building on this momentum, Carrell finished eighth in the ESP division.
With the 2026 season now underway, Team Ruger is setting the pace early and aims to maintain this competitive edge in upcoming matches.
